Friends,
I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to each an every one of you for helping to elect me as your new Public Lands Commissioner. Without the unyielding support of my family, campaign team and you, this would not have been possible.
While we closed out a year that has seen historic change all across the country, we are also faced with very difficult economic and environmental challenges. But in the face of bank bailouts and struggles against climate change – there are exciting opportunities.
This year we will begin a new chapter in the management of our public lands where science, sustainability and economic opportunity will work together. With your help, we will build a green economy that will protect our environment for future generations and create jobs.
Again, I humbly thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Public Lands Commissioner and look forward to working with you over the coming years.
